So apparently the Xbox 360 is the most entertaining system of the previous 2 generations of consoles. Gamers appear to play their 360s the most & enjoy that time as well. Even the PS2 & original Xbox scored more popular than the Wii for time played. Granted the Wii has sold the most, one cant help but wonder just how much of it is novelty.
Source.
PS. Nintendo is also looking at bringing streaming media to the Wii. Its like the novelty is wearing off & the rate of expansion of Nintendos wallet isn't as large, So they decided to give people what they want & maybe they will like the Wii again. Source.
PPS. Or not.

1. Sorry. Those statistics merely support the fact that XBox 360s are played more than the Wii, not that it is the most entertaining console of the generation.
You are making an invalid claim with those statistics (not that I'm saying the XBox 360 isn't fun, but jumping to your conclusion would be like saying if the majority of people in the SLC enjoy Pepsi over Coke, then Pepsi is the most refreshing beverage in North America)
2. Wii manufacturing costs have dropped 45%. They are making huge(r) profits than ever before. Even with the sales slump in Japan. And just watch. As soon as Wii Sports Resort comes out in June/July, the money printing begins again.
You underestimate Nintendo. They may not offer the best gaming experience year round, but they are extremely well-versed business men.

Lol, I enjoyed that comic.
But using it as a rebuttal shows me your priorities. Granted Nintendo seems to be shitting cash by selling a Wii to anything with a pulse, alot of the games & features on their console are missing.
Companies like Sony & Microsoft take better care of their customers and make less money.
Personally, I'd rather be happy with my purchase than see said company have enough cash to buy a small hemisphere. Its also like you like the Wii so much because you get bragging rights; "The company I bought from makes more money than the company you bought from."
I refuse to pay more than $50 for a Wii (probably only for Wii Sports... maybe that goo game too, but I'll never find one that cheap so why bother mentioning it.)
-blam!
Hardly a comeback. Definitely not blammed.
