Is there something wrong with my eyes? Don't really see any change there.
And I've seen a lot of stuff in HD, and - to me - the motion seems unnatural. Its like the refresh rate is so fast that it forces the brain to comprehend motions that are too rapid for real life. My relatives have HD at their cottage, and watching their TV irritates me because of how artificial some of the motion is.
But seriously, the best game on the Wii is World of Goo, which does not thrive on HD. People need to start making better game concepts and stop focusing so much on graphics.
ts like the refresh rate is so fast that it forces the brain to comprehend motions that are too rapid for real life. Most LCD TVs are 60Hz. Just like LCD computer monitors. You have to spend a little extra to get the 120Hz still, even tho development on 240+Hz is happening. The refresh rate is the same, the motion is natural, maybe you need glasses because such clear & defined pictures hurt your retina.
I still agree, graphics dont make a game; just make it better. If Bioshock wasn't a stunning 1080p and I wasn't able to see the morbid gore, the game would have probably been less interesting to me. Developers still need better concepts, yes (Halo seems like a good concept), but the 2 go hand in hand.
I mean, how much do you wanna bet modern games would suck if we still only had 1 joystick & 1 button? The controllers have evolved, just like the graphics.
ps. "video" games used to be completely text based, now look at where we are. Next you will be bitch about games being 3D.
