My previous post was in reference to me getting my Xbox 360 back. Unfortunately, having not played Halo 3 in almost 2 months, I did bring some fury to the game, however, I was the catcher.
But me getting destroyed in a Lone Wolves match is not what I am posting about. It's society.
So today is Canada Day; celebration is at hand. I live very close to where Waterloo was having their fireworks, and the flocks of people triggered my memory. After getting pissed off at my sister about the car the night before, I decided to leave it at my place & return it to her place the next day.
It wasn't until about 9PM though, that I remembered. I invited Earl along for the ride (as he wanted to go check out the fireworks), knowing that Columbia St. was closed between here and where I needed to go. What would normally be less than a 20 minute walk, turned into a 20 minute drive. I expected the extended commute, but not to this scale.
Apparently, bike lanes and center medians are for parking in Waterloo. But okay, Waterloo is a big city, & this is a big event, it's understandable. This, and other forms of idiotic behavior do tick me off, but again, not what this post is about.
As Earl & I were walking back, we stopped for a few minutes to watch the fireworks. They had made an announcement about people lighting off store bought fireworks in the field (where a alot of people are) and how not to do it because its a huge safety risk. As I predicted, within a minute more shot off, and Earl and I parted ways (as I had homework to do).
I hadn't gotten too far before the real fireworks started, but what shocks me the most, is how I didn't hear the national anthem.
Now I am not much (meaning I am a little bit) of a patriotic guy, but not playing our national anthem on a Canada Day celebration just doesn't sit well with me. How would you like it if I showed up at your birthday party & ignored you the entire night?
This among other things, makes me realize how little is left or a real society. Maybe its just me, or maybe school dominating my life has made me bitter; Either way, people in large numbers are extremely stupid and should be avoided.
PS. Its been over 30 minutes and 3-4 dozen cars at the CLV parking lot are still backed up, and those number are nothing compared to the numbers linging the main streets of Waterloo. Suckers.

have u seen the happening? well, if not, avoid it. save yourself two hours. BUT refering to your comment on how large groups should be avoided, the movie makes perfect sense. (if this makes absolutely no sense, which is what i expect, read a brief summery of the movie lol)
