The Beginning Of The End

This is it, folks. It's all down hill form here for me. "What am I talking about," you ask? I'll tell you. I have a suspicion that my metabolism is dead, or dying.

Yesterday for supper, my roommates and and ate like Kings of University students. We had home cooked bacon double cheeseburgers. After which, I polished off a bag of chocolate covered pretzels.

Needles to say, I worked out that night (weight lifting, not cardio). Usually it helps me feel better. I also didn't eat breakfast today, yet still, I have a little overhang in my belt region.

This never happens! I used to be able to tank 6 cheeseburgers and not gain a pound. But it looks like those days are long gone. Granted, one good run/bike ride & a day or 2 of not eating like shit and I will be back to normal, but the facts don't lie; I'm getting old.

Just to look back, my New Years resolution was to eat better & exercise more. Now I have done this. I've started eating salad & more fruits, and have been working out at least once a week. But last night I thought I should step it up a notch.

I decided that I will try to cut out sweets from my diet, except for when hammered or LAN parties. This may sound stupid, but with my sweet tooth I'm surprised I'm not diabetic. Also, I will complete at least one solid cardio workout once a week; whether its a 2 mile run or a 90 minute bike ride.

I'm getting old folks... May god help us all.
