I Are The Infections

While trying to keep on top of this blog (no dirty comments, please), I have yet another senseless post of about the everyday happenings of my life. To be precise, this past weekend.

I knew from the get go that this weekend wasn't going to be the greatest. Tinglez wasn't coming home & I had to put in a few hours at work on Saturday.

Friday

I think I can sum this up in one word: Halo. Lmacks' new found financial beliefs have us wanting to spend the same $0 amount of cash while still enjoying ourselves. I picked him up after work & we got down to business, shootin' baddies & pwning noobs. Pizza was supplied by my folks and we called it an early night at around midnight.

Saturday

I wake up at 10AM, eat a donut, shower, and go into work at about 10:50AM. They are counting inventory today & need IT support for a last minute application I wrote to export data to excel for them. They aren't finished counting when I arrive and they figure another hour or so until they are done (and can pull the data). Being a nice guy I offer to help out as opposed to sitting at a desk waiting.

After close to an hour of moving parts and sticking labels, it's done. Just when I'm about to be happy, half of the stuff wasn't scanned right or... something like that, and it had to be recounted. So I help again. Now, things are supposed to be wrapped up by 2PM (note I was planning on being gone by 12-1PM) and by 2:30, it apparent that it needs to be counted a 3rd time.

Now I am unimpressed and it takes to about 4:45 to finish and it still doesn't scan right. Things are messed but at least we have numbers and can change thing manually after. So By ten to 5PM, we sit down & being the data pulling. Once a few random checks are made to make sure the data is right, I grab my coat & am out the door by 5.

10 minutes was all that I was needed for yet I was there for 6 hours. God damn.

Details aside, I pick up Lmack after work & we grab food stuffs from Soybes to make sandwiches for supper (supposed to be lunch). Recipe as follows:

-Begin making Alfredo sauce from package
-Begin making sautéed mushrooms
-Cut open beget & apply garlic butter
-Put bread under the oven broiler to lightly toast
-Equip sliced roast beef, mushrooms, and swiss cheese to bread
-Melt cheese in oven
-Add parmasen to Alfredo sauce
-Add sauce to sandwich and enjoy

You might recognize this as the Quiznos Beef & Swiss melt. This was are attempt at making such an awesome sandwich ourselves. And it worked.

Granted that it didn't taste exactly the same, nor did we expect it too. But it was fucking awesome. Although I enjoyed it, I think Lmack got more pleasure out of it than I did. He said it was the best thing he had ever made. For myself, it was probably in the top 3 best food stuffs I have made, and so it didn't have a huge lead on other things I have made. Tasty nevertheless.

Some improvements that could be made would be to use bigger bread & to sauce it up before any mushrooms or meat is put on.

After wards was more Halo. Highlights of the evening included us saving our asses and us owning shit up. You really need to watch the last 30 seconds where we save our asses because we come within inches of losing. It was a real heart stopping moment.

The night was filled with lots of Halo, as well as some newly acquired Assault Heroes, and by 3AM called it a night. Lmack crash in my basement, and by 11AM we were right back at it, but not for long.

Sunday

We were treated to French toast for brunch and afterwards spent near 2 hours changing my car tires with my Dad.

I know what you are thinking, and yes, 2 hours is a long time to change tires. This was because the tires had rusted on during the winter and so, we had to loosen the lug nuts on a tire and then my Dad would abuse the car (driving up curbs, hard turns & braking, etc.) until the tire broke free. The best part, however, was Lmack being afraid of the impact gun &air hose in general, too funny.

We resumed gaming, only this time MechAssault 2. We endured mass destruction until 5:30, at which point we got some grub from the dub. After the tasty meal, we parted ways and I headed to Waterloo to see Tinglez.

Details aside, I left around 10:50PM on a good note, but didn't go to bed until 12:30 or so.

That was my weekend, don't you feel like you were right there?
